Jane was born about 1926 in South Carolina.1 Jane's father was Edgar Lafayette Shealy and her mother was Ellen Heise. Her paternal grandparents were Westley Killian Shealy and Agnes Wessinger. She had two brothers named Walter and Edgar Lafayette.-
