Evelyn Margalee was born on December 23rd, 1920.1 Evelyn Margalee's father was Ludie Mitchell Shealy and her mother was Shalldonia Elizabeth Bundrick. Her paternal grandparents were Leonard L. Shealy and Martha Isabelle Comalander; her maternal grandfather was George Adam Bundrick. She had four brothers and three sisters, named George Marion, Walter O'Neal, James Thurmond, Ludia Ambrose, Eva Mae, Martha Irene and Claudia Ethel (Effie). She was the youngest of the eight children.-
