James Hammond Sease 
James Hammond was born on June 16th, 1859 in Little Mountain, South Carolina.1 James Hammond's father was John Leonard (Lyn) Sease and his mother was Martha Elizabeth Fike. His paternal grandparents were John C. Sease and Christina Bearberg Lowman. He had three brothers and eight sisters, named John Irby, Edward Lee, Thomas Sidney, Elizabeth (Cousin Lizzie), Alma, Frances M. (Fannie), Ann M., Mary Ella (Mallie), Carrie Verina, Agnes Lily (Lillie) and Eunice. He was the sixth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 70 on February 25th, 1930 in Bur St. Pauls Lutheran Church Cemetery, Pomaria, SC. He was buried in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Pomaria, SC.1 1 -
