Walter Glenn was born on January 18th, 1923 in Chapin, South Carolina.1 Walter Glenn's father was Walter Ernest Riser and his mother was Jessie Blanche Frick. His paternal grandparents were Willie Lanford Riser and Mary Susan Emma Shealy. He had a brother and a sister, named Alvin Francis and Edith Miriam. He was the youngest of the three children.-
