Edith Miriam was born on August 2nd, 1916.1 Edith Miriam's father was Walter Ernest Riser and her mother was Jessie Blanche Frick. Her paternal grandparents were Willie Lanford Riser and Mary Susan Emma Shealy. She had two brothers named Alvin Francis and Walter Glenn. She was the second oldest of the three children.-
