Sara Fleda was born on August 24th, 1878 in Westminster, Oconee Co., SC.1 Sara Fleda's father was Joseph Parker McDonald and her mother was Julia Ann Sarepta Frances Winter. Her maternal grandparents were James Cook Winter and Serepta Ann Glenn. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Henry Winter, James Parker (Jim), George Shaffer, Anna Alberta, Sarepta Glenn (Seppie), Rosa Milly and Susan Beulah. She was the third oldest of the eight children.-
