Henry Winter was born on July 27th, 1876 in Westminster, Oconee Co., SC.1 Henry Winter's father was Joseph Parker McDonald and his mother was Julia Ann Sarepta Frances Winter. His maternal grandparents were James Cook Winter and Serepta Ann Glenn. He had two brothers and five sisters, named James Parker (Jim), George Shaffer, Anna Alberta, Sara Fleda, Sarepta Glenn (Seppie), Rosa Milly and Susan Beulah. He was the second oldest of the eight children.-
