Cyril Enoch was born about 1915 in Little Mountain, South Carolina.1 Cyril Enoch's father was Floyd Terrence Mayer and his mother was Lila Agnes Shealy. His paternal grandparents were Jacob William (Will) Mayer and Mary Ella (Mallie) Sease; his maternal grandparents were George Michael Shealy and Caroline Eafyan Bowers. He had a brother and a sister, named Franklin and Clara. He died on January 7th, 1999 in Buried Mount Tabor Lutheran Church Cemetery, Little Mountain, SC. He was buried in Mt. C. Enoch Mayer
Little Mountain - Services for C. Enoch Mayer, 84, of 4726 U.S. Hwy. 76,
will be held at 2 pm. Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, at Mount Tabor Lutheran
Church, with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive
friends following the services in the church fellowship hall.
McSwain-Evans Funeral Home of Newberry is in charge.
Mr. Mayer died Thursday. Born in Little Mountain, he was a son of the
late Floyd T. and Agnes Shealy Mayer. He was a lifetime member of Mount
Tabor Lutheran Church, where he was a former church councilman.
Surviving are his wife, Julia Derrick Mayer; sons, James Cyril Mayer of
Atlanta, Albert Dwain Mayer of Aiken, Douglas Mayer of Laurens; daughter,
Janie M. Eargle of Chapin; brother, W. Franklin Mayer of Little Mountain;
sister, Clara Edwards of Saluda; six grandchildren; one
