Myrtle was born about 1915 in Lexington County, South Carolina.1 Myrtle's father was Charlie Franklin Lindler and her mother was Bessie Shealy. Her paternal grandfather was John Lindler; her maternal grandparents were John Calvin Shealy and Alice Maquilla Amick. She had a brother and two sisters, named Horace, M. Ellain and Elene. Myrtle Haltiwanger
Chapin - Services for Myrtle Lindler Haltiwanger, 85, will be held at 3
p.m. Monday, April 17, 2000, at Mt. Horeb Lutheran Church, with burial in
the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at
Caughman-Harman Funeral Homes, Chapin Chapel. Memorials may be made to
Mt. Horeb Lutheran Church Building Fund.
Mrs. Haltiwanger, widow of Carroll L. Haltiwanger, died Friday, April 14,
2000. Born in Lexington Co., she was the daughter of the late Charlie F.
and Bessie Shealy Lindler. She was a member of Mt. Horeb Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Betty Joann Haltiwanger of Chapin; sons,
Carroll Wayne Haltiwanger of Irmo, Heyward Lee Haltiwanger of Chapin;
grandchildren, Dawn H. Cassady of Mebane, N.C., Melissa Lee Haltiwanger
of Chapin, Michael Wayne Haltiwanger of Ft. Huachuca, Ariz. and Stacey
Lynn Haltiwnger of Chapin.
