Ella's father was Josiah Richard Wesley Sease and her mother was Frances M Rawl. Her paternal grandparents were John Frederick Sease and Elizabeth Bickley. She had a brother and two sisters, named Lawrence Andrew, Frances (Fannie) and Maury.-
