William John Koon 
William John was born on February 21st, 1850 in South Carolina.1 William John's father was Absalom Koon and his mother was Lavinia A. Taylor. His maternal grandparents were William Taylor and Elizabeth Dominick. He had four brothers and three sisters, named James H., Wiley Harrison, George W., Luther M., Permillia, Mary Alice and Frances Melissa. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 29 on June 19th, 1879.1 -
