George W. Koon 
George W. was born on August 6th, 1857 in Newberry County, South Carolina.1 George W.'s father was Absalom Koon and his mother was Lavinia A. Taylor. His maternal grandparents were William Taylor and Elizabeth Dominick. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William John, James H., Wiley Harrison, Luther M., Permillia, Mary Alice and Frances Melissa. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 18 on October 4th, 1875 in Lake City, Columbia County, Florida.1 -
