Elizabeth L. was born on October 17th, 1813 in Abington, , PA.1 Elizabeth L.'s father was John Kirk and her mother was Tabitha Lukens. Her paternal grandparents were Jacob Kirk and Elizabeth Cleaver. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Elias, Seneca Lukens, Jacob L., Alfred, Sarah L., Emaline, Tacy Anne and Priscilla. She was the second oldest of the nine children.1 -
