Ranulf was born about 1100 in Castle Of Gernon, Normandy.1 Ranulf's father was Ranulph III De MESCHINES, Earl Of Chester and his mother was Lucia Of East Angies. His paternal grandparents were Ranulph II De MESCHINES, Vicomte De Bayeux and Margaret le Goz; his maternal grandparents were Thorold Of Buckingham, Sheriff Of Lincoln and (Unk Dau). He had a sister named Adeliza. He died on December 16th, 1153. He was buried in St. Werburg'S, Chester.1 1 General Notes
