Richard III was born about 1001 in of Normandy, France.1 Richard III's father was Richard II le Bon Duke of Normandy and his mother was Judith de Brittany. His paternal grandparents were Richard I The Fearless Duke Of Normandy and Gunnora of Denmark; his maternal grandparents were Conan I Duke Of Brittany and Ermengard-Gerberge de Anjou. He had a brother and three sisters, named Robert I the Magnificent, Alisia (Adelaide\Judith), Eleanora and Papia. He died on August 6th, 1027.1 General Notes
