James S. Bowers was born on November 22nd, 1898.1 James S. Bowers' father was Joe Boland and his mother was Alice Shealy. His paternal grandparents were James Middleton Boland and Laura A. J. Koon; his maternal grandparents were George Middleton Shealy and Elizabeth Christine Shealy. He had a half-brother named Thomas Maxie. He died at 10 months old on September 25th, 1899. He was buried in Mt. Tabor Lutheran Cemetery, Little Mountain, SC.1 1 -
