Victoria Adelaide Mary was born on November 21st, 1840. Victoria Adelaide Mary's father was Albert Augustus Saxe-Coburg-Gotha and her mother was Victoria Hanover. Her paternal grandfather was Ernest I Saxe-Coburg; her maternal grandparents were Edward Augustus Hanover and Victoria Mary Louisa von Saxe-Coburg. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Edward VII, Alfred Ernest Albert, Arthur William Patrick, Leopold George Duncan Albert, Alice Maud Mary, Helena Augusta Victoria, Louise Caroline Alberta and Beatrice Mary Victoria. She was the oldest of the nine children.-
