Alfred Ernest Albert was born on August 6th, 1844. Alfred Ernest Albert's father was Albert Augustus Saxe-Coburg-Gotha and his mother was Victoria Hanover. His paternal grandfather was Ernest I Saxe-Coburg; his maternal grandparents were Edward Augustus Hanover and Victoria Mary Louisa von Saxe-Coburg. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Edward VII, Arthur William Patrick, Leopold George Duncan Albert, Victoria Adelaide Mary, Alice Maud Mary, Helena Augusta Victoria, Louise Caroline Alberta and Beatrice Mary Victoria. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.-
