Leopold George Duncan Albert was born on April 7th, 1853. Leopold George Duncan Albert's father was Albert Augustus Saxe-Coburg-Gotha and his mother was Victoria Hanover. His paternal grandfather was Ernest I Saxe-Coburg; his maternal grandparents were Edward Augustus Hanover and Victoria Mary Louisa von Saxe-Coburg. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Edward VII, Alfred Ernest Albert, Arthur William Patrick, Victoria Adelaide Mary, Alice Maud Mary, Helena Augusta Victoria, Louise Caroline Alberta and Beatrice Mary Victoria. He was the second youngest of the nine children.-
