Reuben Thurston 
Reuben was born about 1817. Reuben's father was William R. Thurston and his mother was Mary Walker. His paternal grandparents were John Thurston and Jane Page; his maternal grandparents were Shadrack Walker and Hannah Shephard. He had a brother and a sister, named William Shepherd and Susannah. He was the second oldest of the three children.
