John Stanley 
John was born on November 2nd, 1783 in Hanover Co., Virginia.1 John's father was Thomas Stanley and his mother was Unity Crew. His paternal grandparents were John Stanley and Martha Hutchins; his maternal grandparents were James Crew and Judith Harris. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Moses, James, Joseph, Benjamin Thomas, Thomas Crew, Temperance, Judith, Abigail and Unity. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 90 on May 24th, 1874 in Damascus, Columbiana, Ohio.-
