Sarah was born on July 21st, 1843 in Shelby Co., AL. Sarah's father was Elijah D. Roach and her mother was Elizabeth Butler. Her maternal grandparents were Zachariah Butler and Nancy Bullard. She had five brothers and nine sisters, named John A., James M., John Sanders, Jesse, Leroy Thomas, Julia, Martha Jane, Harriett, Louisa, Caroline, Adeline, Jessie, Susan F. and Malissa. She died at the age of 22 on August 15th, 1865 in Shelby Co., AL.-
