Leroy Thomas was born on November 17th, 1857. Leroy Thomas' father was Elijah D. Roach and his mother was Elizabeth Butler. His maternal grandparents were Zachariah Butler and Nancy Bullard. He had four brothers and ten sisters, named John A., James M., John Sanders, Jesse, Julia, Martha Jane, Harriett, Louisa, Caroline, Sarah, Adeline, Jessie, Susan F. and Malissa. He was buried in Providence Cemetery, Ringgold, Bienville Parish, Louisiana.-
