Josiah Lawson Rainey 
Josiah Lawson was born about 1832. Josiah Lawson's father was Thomas Rainey and his mother was Mary Claiborne Echols. His paternal grandparents were James Rainey and Nancy Samuels; his maternal grandparents were Obediah Echols and Lucy Atkinson Jackson. He had five brothers and two sisters, named James Obediah, Claudius H., Thomas Claiborne, Samuel Brame, Leonidas Echols, Cornelia Mutter and Anne Janette. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.
