Claudius H. Rainey 
Claudius H. was born in 1826. Claudius H.'s father was Thomas Rainey and his mother was Mary Claiborne Echols. His paternal grandparents were James Rainey and Nancy Samuels; his maternal grandparents were Obediah Echols and Lucy Atkinson Jackson. He had five brothers and two sisters, named James Obediah, Thomas Claiborne, Josiah Lawson, Samuel Brame, Leonidas Echols, Cornelia Mutter and Anne Janette. He was the third oldest of the eight children.
