Abner was born about 1742. Abner's father was John Henry Pryor and his mother was Margaret Gaines. His paternal grandparents were Robert Pryor and Elizabeth Virginia Green; his maternal grandparents were George Gaines and Ellinor ?. He had three brothers and eight sisters, named Green, Robert, John Henry, Lucy, Elizabeth, Rhoda, Mildred Kathleen, Leah, Rachel, Henrietta and Dorothy. He was the sixth oldest of the twelve children. He died in 1777 in Caswell Co., NC.-
