William Payne 
William was born on June 1st, 1764. William's father was Josias Payne and his mother was Elizabeth Fleming. His paternal grandparents were Josias Payne and Anna Fleming; his maternal grandparents were Tarleton Fleming and Hannah Bates. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Tarleton, Josias, Fleming, Charles Fleming, Sally and Elizabeth Chichester. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.-
