Walter Daniel was born on May 20th, 1875. Walter Daniel's father was James F. Payne and his mother was Angelina Ontario Keoka Chiles. His paternal grandparents were Fleming S. Payne and Isabella Winn; his maternal grandparents were Alfred Hamilton Chiles and Susan C. Richardson. He had three sisters named Georgia, Alice J. and Laura Belle. He was the second youngest of the four children.-
