Alphonzo Dix Payne 
Alphonzo Dix was born on May 11th, 1853. Alphonzo Dix's father was William Payne and his mother was Phoebe Ann Flannagan. His paternal grandparents were James Payne and Matilda Frances Dix; his maternal grandparents were William Flannagan and Sallie Curd Johnson. He had five brothers and eight sisters, named Thomas Benjamin, William Collins, James Dix, Eugene Spotswood, James Atalbert, Mary Frances, Sarah Ann, Martha Curd, Mary Elizabeth, Arenah Catherine, Amelia Louise, Ida Marie and Susan Frances. He was the second youngest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 83 on December 31st, 1936.-
