William Mosby 
William was born in 1760. William's father was John Mosby and his mother was Lucy Allen. His paternal grandparents were John Mosby and Martha Womack; his maternal grandparents were James Allen and Lucy Hobson. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Benjamin, Joseph, Hezekiah, Samuel, Susanna, Elizabeth, Mary, Lucy, Ann and Martha. He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children.-
