Richard Henry Leigh 
Richard Henry was born on November 1st, 1798 in Nottoway Co., Virginia. Richard Henry's father was Zachariah Greenhill Leigh and his mother was Priscilla Allen Townes. His paternal grandparents were John Leigh and Elizabeth Greenhill; his maternal grandparents were John Townes and Martha Allen. He had three brothers and four sisters, named (son), John Townes, William, Martha Allen, Elizabeth, Elizabeth Greenhill and Catherine. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 48 on October 12th, 1847 in Yolobusha Co., Mississippi.-
