Edmund Fontaine 
Edmund was born on February 3rd, 1838 in "Beaver Dam", Rt. 738, Hanover Co., Virginia. Edmund's father was Edward Fontaine and his mother was Maria Louisa Pollard. His paternal grandparents were William Fontaine and Anne Morris; his maternal grandparents were ? Pollard and E. P. ?. He had three brothers and two sisters, named William, John B., Richard Morris, Sarah Louisa and Rose Maury. He was the third oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 23 on July 21st, 1861 in battle of Manassas, Manassas, VA. He was buried in "Beaver Dam", Rt. 738, Hanover Co., Virginia.1 General Notes
