William Fontaine 
William was born on January 22nd, 1754. William's father was Peter Fontaine and his mother was Elizabeth Winston. His paternal grandparents were Peter Fontaine and Elizabeth Fourreau. He had two brothers named John and Edmund. He was the second oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 56 on October 6th, 1810. He was buried in "Beaver Dam", Rt. 738, Hanover Co., Virginia.1 General Notes

William Fontaine
Son of Peter and Elizabeth Fontaine, was a
Lt. Colonel in the War of the Revolution and
was in service at Yorktown when Lord Cornwallis surrendered.
He was born on the 22nd day of January 1754
Died on the 6th of October 1810 in teh 57th year of his age
