John Cosby 
John was born on September 19th, 1741 in Hanover Co., VA. John's father was David Cosby and his mother was Mary Garland Ann Overton. His paternal grandparents were Charles Cosby and Jane Meriwether; his maternal grandparents were James Overton and Elizabeth Truehart. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Charles, David, Overton, William, Mary, Elizabeth, Jane, Barbara Overton and Ann. He died at the age of 86 in 1827 in Frederickstown, Washington, KY.-
