Jane was born about 1638.  Jane's father was William Claiborne and her mother was Elizabeth Butler.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Clayborn and Sara Smyth; her maternal grandparents were John Butler and Jane Elliott. She had four brothers and a sister, named William, John, Thomas, Leonard and Elizabeth.  She died before May 1671.
