John Abner was born on December 5th, 1820. John Abner's father was John Chappell and his mother was Elizabeth Townes Craddock. His paternal grandparents were James Chappell and Susan Hudson; his maternal grandfather was Charles Craddock. He had four brothers and a sister, named James, William H., Richard Granville, Charles Edward and Elizabeth C.. He had a half-sister named Martha. He died after 1900.-
