James Chappell 
James was born in 1722 in Raleigh Parish, Prince George Co., VA. James' father was Robert Chappell and his mother was Sarah Cox. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Chappell and Elizabeth Jones. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Robert, John, Sarah, Mary and Ann. He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 54 in October 1776 in Amelia Co., VA.General Notes
Moved to Amelia w/mother & siblings about 1746. Owned 3 or 4 plantations and a valuable water-mill.
