John Carter 
John was born about 1739 in "Sabine Hall", Richmond Co., VA. John's father was Landon Carter and his mother was Elizabeth Wormeley. His paternal grandparents were Robert Carter and Elizabeth Landon; his maternal grandparents were John Wormeley and Elizabeth ?. He had two brothers and a sister, named Robert Wormeley, Landon and Elizabeth Wormeley. He was the second youngest of the four children. He had a half-brother and five half-sisters, named Beale, Maria Byrd, Judith, Lucy, Fanny and Susannah. He died in 1789 in "Sudley, Prince William Co., VA.-
