Beale Carter 
Beale was born in 1749. Beale's father was Landon Carter and his mother was Elizabeth Beale. His paternal grandparents were Robert Carter and Elizabeth Landon; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Beale and Elizabeth Tavener. He had four sisters named Judith, Lucy, Fanny and Susannah. He was the oldest of the five children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Robert Wormeley, Landon, John, Elizabeth Wormeley and Maria Byrd.-
