Charles Edward was born on April 9th, 1890 in Goochland Co., VA. Charles Edward's father was Thomas Edward Carter and his mother was Mildred Elizabeth Thurston. His paternal grandparents were John Carter and Dianna ?; his maternal grandparents were Reuben Thurston and Mildred B. Mahanes. He had three brothers and a sister, named Richard Taylor, Horace Fleming, Jacob Rubin and Lillian Thomas. He was the youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 84 on October 29th, 1974 in Goochland Co., VA.-
