Sanders Walker was born in 1809 in Elbert Co., GA. Sanders Walker's father was Zachariah Butler and his mother was Nancy Bullard. His paternal grandparents were James McGehee Butler and Sarah Christopher; his maternal grandparents were Thomas J. B. Bullard and Anna Bell. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, James Madison, Zachariah Taylor, Sarah C., Elizabeth, Mary, Nancy Caroline and Jane M.. He died at the age of 58 on April 9th, 1867 in Itawamba Co. (later called Lee Co.), Mississippi.General Notes

Looking for the family of Zachariah BUTLER, reportedly b. 1736, Hanover Co., VA; d. ca 1814, Elbert Co., GA. He had children: James, Patrick, Joel, Anna & Nathan. James and Patrick were both Rev. War soldiers in Mecklenburg Co., VA, and Zach and James are both listed on the 1782 census for that county. James d. 1841, Shelby Co., AL, having 10 children. His son that was my ancestor was Zachariah also; his wife was Nancy Bullard, dau. of Thomas BULLARD and Anna/Ann BELL of Elbert Co., GA. Zach (II) was murdered in 1822, leaving 8 orphans. His son that is my ancestor was Sanders Walker BUTLER, who was a J. P. and d. 1867 in Itawamba County, MS.
Anyone out there connect? Any clues on the family of Zach (I)?
