Edward Levi was born on July 7th, 1838. Edward Levi's father was Rowland Blankenship and his mother was Martha Butler. His paternal grandparents were Archibald Blankenship and Prudence Conday. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Leslie Combs, Charles T., Mary P., Anna, Sarah Elizabeth and Elvira. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He had a half-brother named John Archer.-
