James Edward Shannon

James Edward was born on August 17th, 1892 in New York.¹ James Edward's father was Barney and his mother was Mary "Minnie" Smyth. His paternal grandfather was Henry Shannon and his paternal grandmother is Mary McGolrick; his maternal grandparents were James I Smyth and Catherine Farnand. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named Henry Francis, Joseph Michael, John Paul, Bernard Emmett, Arthur Thomas, Uncle "OOUIE", William R, Edwin Vincent, Frances, Mary and "Little Minnie" or part of "Minnie and Art ".. He was the third oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 38 on April 7th, 1931 in Rome, NY. He was buried in St. Peters RRC, Rome, NY.
