Edwin Vincent Shannon

Edwin Vincent was born on August 30th, 1904 in Rome, Oneida, New York, United States.¹ Edwin Vincent's father was Barney and his mother was Mary "Minnie" Smyth. His paternal grandfather was Henry Shannon and his paternal grandmother is Mary McGolrick; his maternal grandparents were James I Smyth and Catherine Farnand. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named Henry Francis, James Edward, Joseph Michael, John Paul, Bernard Emmett, Arthur Thomas, Uncle "OOUIE", William R, Frances, Mary and "Little Minnie" or part of "Minnie and Art ".. He was the eleventh oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 43 on September 3rd, 1947 in McPherson, McPherson, Kansas, United States. He was buried in Blackwell, OK IOOF Cemetery..

General Notes
- Named for Uncle Edward Smyth and check book of Saints for August 30.
  Known to Moon's as "Eddie, Lord have mercy on him".
  It has been reported that while working out west somebody called him"Shortie". Eddie didn't like being short and refused to answer to this individual for months. One day he called him Jack ASS. This broke the ice and Eddie answered to Jack from that day on.
