Soloman Riggs

Soloman was born about 1820 in Craven Co. NC.¹ Soloman's father was Jesse Riggs and his mother was Mary (Polly) Hardison Beasley. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Beasley and Mary Hardison. He had a brother and three sisters, named Jesse, Sally Ann, Salina Jane and Drucillia Ann. He was the oldest of the five children. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named James Beasley, John Richard, Sarah, Sarah Beasley and Dorcas.
