Drucillia Ann was born about 1832 in Craven Co. NC.¹ Drucillia Ann's father was Jesse Riggs and her mother was Mary (Polly) Hardison Beasley. Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Beasley and Mary Hardison. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Soloman, Jesse, Sally Ann and Salina Jane. She was the youngest of the five children. She had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named James Beasley, John Richard, Sarah, Sarah Beasley and Dorcas.
