John Riggs

John was born in 1837 in Craven Co. NC.¹ John's father was John Richard Riggs and his mother was Sally Ann Wise. His paternal grandparents were John Riggs and Mary (Polly) Hardison Beasley. He had a brother and a sister, named Thomas and Dorcas. He was the oldest of the three children. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Henry, Joseph, Alfred and Cornelia.
