Alfred Riggs

Alfred was born in 1849 in Craven Co. NC.¹ Alfred's father was John Richard Riggs and his mother was Sarah (Sally) Ann Wise. His paternal grandparents were John Riggs and Mary (Polly) Hardison Beasley; his maternal grandparents were John Riggs and Druchania Stanley. He had four brothers and two sisters, named John, Thomas, Henry, Joseph, Dorcas and Cornelia. He was the youngest of the seven children.
