Arthur Cotton

Arthur was born in 1562 in Combermere, Cheshire, , England. Arthur's father was Sir Richard Cotton and his mother was Mary Mainwaring. His paternal grandparents were Sir George Cotton Knight and Mary Onley; his maternal grandparents were Arthur Mainwaring and Margaret Mainwaring. He had two brothers and five sisters, named George, Andrew, Mary, Frances, Elizabeth, Winifred and Dorothy. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 87 in 1649.
