Lavinia was born on February 7th, 1879.  Lavinia's father was Henry(Harry) Alexander Findlay and her mother was Jane Watson.  Her paternal grandparents were Alexander Findlay and Sarah Knackston. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Percy, Leonard, Alma, Emily, Gertrude and Mildred.  She was the sixth oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 66 on February 17th, 1945.
